Job Head Coach, Queensland

Tennis Townsville is currently on the lookout for a dedicated tennis coach to join the team as of Term Four (20 September, if not earlier).

Our programs are run at the largest club in the region (16 courts). We are dedicated to providing players with a progressive program which caters to players of all ages and abilities, and allows players to grow through a fun and encouraging environment. The coach has the capabilities to cater to a more committed and competitive athlete looking to reach their full potential. Our adult programs cater for group/individual sessions, as well as social tennis and fixture competitions for singles, doubles and team events.

We have strong community values, the successful applicant will be required to interact with all ages, abilities and personalities, setting a great example of professionalism and integrity, communicating with enthusiasm and clarity, so we can build strong relationships with all members of our local community.

We do our best to provide a healthy work life balance so our coaches can enjoy the beautiful area we live in.

There will be an opportunity to transition to a full-time role if this is what you are looking for.

Coach responsibilities:

• Hot Shots and Junior group lessons
• Adult programs
• Private lessons
• Holiday clinics
• In School tennis coaching
• Off court duties (tournament directing/refereeing)
• Punctual and present in a professional manner

Coaching hours:

Combination of Monday – Friday, mornings and afternoons, Saturday mornings

Salary/Income:

Either contracted to Tennis Townsville (conditions to be discussed)

Or

$30 – $50/hr, 20+ hrs per week, depending on experience, with option of full time for the right applicant
