The Role

This is a hands-on site supervisor role suited to an experienced carpenter with a strong background in hospitality refurbishments and fitouts. The role involves overseeing day-to-day site operations while remaining actively involved in trade work. You will coordinate teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver high-quality projects across bars, restaurants, pubs, and hotels throughout Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site works for hospitality refurbishments (bars, restaurants, pubs, hotels)
• Work with the tools daily, undertaking carpentry and installation tasks
• Interpret construction drawings and ensure all work meets specifications and compliance standards
• Coordinate subcontractors and in-house trades to ensure project timelines are met
• Always ensure job site safety and WHS compliance
• Communicate with the project management team to report on progress, issues, and variations
• Maintain accurate site documentation including daily diaries, safety forms, and approvals
• Travel across QLD, NSW, and other states as required for project delivery

What You'll Need

• Proven experience supervising hospitality fitout or refurbishment projects
• Qualified carpenter with trade certification (Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent)
• Ability to lead a team while remaining hands-on
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings
• Good understanding of Australian Building Codes and WHS regulations
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel and work away for national projects
• Current Driver's Licence and White Card

• Experience managing fast-paced refurbishments in live hospitality environments
• Familiarity with site reporting tools or apps
