As we continue to grow and take on new projects, we are looking for an experienced Building Inspector to join our Brisbane team. You may also need to travel from time to time to the Gold Coast, Sunshine and Ipswich to meet the increasing demands. About the role

We are seeking a full-time Building Inspector to join our dynamic team. As a valued member, you'll collaborate closely with the building inspection team on various commercial and residential projects. From concept to completion, your unique insights and skills will play a vital role in providing valuable insights into the property’s condition, helping prospective buyers or investors make informed decisions.

Duties & responsibilities:

• Evaluates various components of the property, including its structural integrity for steel and timber structures, electrical systems, plumbing, roofing, and overall maintenance and compliance issues.
• Maintains project timelines and communicates effectively within the team and with the client.
• Prepares and provides a detailed inspection report, including photographs and written assessments, that highlight critical problems and issues with the building after the inspection and suggest possible solutions.
• Ensure all inspection activities adhere to company standards for accuracy and quality.

Skills and experience:

• Having at least three years of experience in building inspections.
• A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Experience in inspecting timber and steel frames, footings, and concrete slabs
• Hold, or be willing to attain, pest inspection units of competence.
• It would be highly advantageous if you held an Engineering qualification, but is not essential
• Be self-motivated and responsible and can work within a fast-paced, multicultural team environment.
• Have high attention to detail and accuracy, good communication and problem-solving skills.

What we offer:

• Full-time position with a salary between 80,000 and 90,000, depending on the qualifications and experience, plus superannuation.
